What to Expect
Bethel’s Sunday Worship Experience is a traditional African Methodist Liturgy incorporating the African-American religious style in a Methodist order of service. Worship is led by an ordained Elder who is assisted by other ordained ministers. The Holy Eucharist or Communion is celebrated the first Sunday of each month. Our Sunday Church School begins at 8:30 a.m. followed by our Sunday Morning Worship Experience which begins at 9:30 a.m. Our worship experience, in the African American tradition, is centered around preaching and music.

Music plays a prominent role in our Sunday Morning Worship Experience, congregational hymns and choir selections are included in each worship service. The hymns we sing range from traditional Methodist hymns to traditional African-American hymns. The selections our choir sing include anthems, black contemporary gospel and or spiritual songs.

Preaching is the pinnacle and the focal point of our worship service. The preaching of the the gospel is alway bible-based designed to communicate Christ in an effective way allowing the Holy Spirit to convince, convict and convert the unbeliever.
